Outdoor skills £16 per class
If you feel like the second your dog crosses that threshold their ears stop working and they forget you're there, then this is the course for you!
Engagement outside can be one of the hardest things to achieve with a dog because the world is vast and exciting and your pup's brain is programmed to notice and react to novelty. But don't worry I can help.
My outdoor skills class focuses on building 5 main skills:
- Recall
- Impulse control
- Loose lead walking
- Engagement
- Being calm outside / settling
Classes are suitable for dogs age 5 months and above. I use positive based training methods, focusing on keeping training fun, relaxed and game based, to help make training a fun experience for you and your dog. These classes are pay as you train to allow flexibility for busy modern life, with support and community through a private whatsapp group where we share weekly wins and at home tasks for in between sessions helping you stay connected with your training goals even when life gets busy. We use a mix of group activities, circuits and games throughout classes on rotation so each week will look a little different. Classes are kept small so booking ahead is essential. please double check the date you're booking to make sure it's correct. Classes are held at Portishead flower show ground opposite Gordano school, please use the Clevedon road gate for entry as the others will be locked.
You can just drive in through the gate and park on site. The gate will be closed before class starts so please arrive on time.
Class starts 9.30 am and runs on Saturday's, please bring with you plenty of treats or toys for positive reinforcement. Your dog needs to be on a short lead and harness or class, no extendable leads please. If you have a long line feel free to bring that with you but don't worry if you don't have one as I will have some spares you can use during class.
please note as the weather gets warmer we may need to change the times of class on some days for earlier or later times. Please make sure contact information is up to date on your booking so you can be contacted about change. Refunds will not be given due to weather credit to attend another class will be offered.

Chaos to calm £16 per class
Chaos to Calm: Brain work
For Dogs 7 Months & Older | Building Confidence, One Game at a Time
Does your dog have a “zoomie” switch that never turns off? Maybe they’re a "rebellious" teenager who has suddenly forgotten their name, an anxious soul who finds the world a bit too loud, or a high-energy breed that could run for miles and still want more.
If you’ve tried walking them longer and they’re only getting fitter—not calmer—it’s time for a different approach.
🧠 Why "Brain Work" Over Body Work?
Most "busy" dogs don't need more physical exercise; they need mental enrichment. When we over-exercise a stressed or high-energy dog, we often just build a "super-athlete" who doesn't know how to relax.
Chaos to Calm is designed to shift the focus. We use a dog’s natural instincts to help them regulate their emotions, lower their heart rate, and start using their head to solve problems instead of their lungs to bark at them.
What We Focus On
We take a relaxed, low-pressure approach to training. No "drill sergeant" vibes here—just fun, science-based games that build real-world skills.
- Scent Work: Tapping into the power of the nose to naturally calm the nervous system.
- Tricks for Confidence: Building a "can-do" attitude and a stronger bond with you.
- Cognitive Games: Teaching your dog how to think through a situation rather than reacting impulsively.
- Real-World Application: Skills that help your dog settle at home, stay focused on walks, and navigate the world with a level head.
Is This Class Right For My Dog?
This class is specifically designed for dogs 7 months and older. It is the perfect environment for:
- The "Teenage" Dog: Navigating those tricky months when focus is hard to find.
- The Busy Bee: High-energy dogs who struggle to find their "off-switch."
- The Sensitive Soul: Anxious or wary dogs who need to build confidence at their own pace.
- The "Deaf" Dog: Dogs who struggle to listen once they are out in the world.

Puppy club
Puppy club 10 weeks - 7 months £16
If you are looking for a puppy class with a difference welcome to puppy club! This is a pay as you go ongoing training class suitable for puppies from 10 weeks to 7 months old, these classes can see you through the puppy months into the beginning of adolescence, If you don't want training to stop there I also offer Outdoor skills and Chaos to calm for 7 months +
So what makes Puppy club different from other puppy courses,
- No 6 week commitment - I know exactly what it's like wanting to do your best raising a puppy and meeting their needs but also juggling busy modern life. So I have done away with the 6 week set course and created pay as you go classes, this allows you to take part in training when you can and if you can't make a week don't worry you can just pick it back up next time.
- Support for longer - Because of the PAYG structure my classes are available to any vaccinated puppies from 10 weeks to 7 months, I know when we were looking for classes it was hard to find one that lined up with when we bought our puppy home. Puppy training isn't linear there are ups and downs new challenges pop up all the time so with my structure you can have support when you feel you need it most, you can come for a few weeks get some basic skills under your belt and then take a break or you can attend every week throughout puppy hood and continue the fun.
- Extra support and community - Because we know the puppy blues are real my classes also come with a Whatsapp community group. Each week there will be fun tasks to practice at home with your puppy IF you can and want to. I will share blog posts and tips and we will also share our wins of the weeks and there will be the chance to chat with others, ask questions and encourage each other on the harder days or nights.
Each week of the course will be a little different, we will have a mix of activities, games and circuits for you and your puppy. We will cover all the basic skills your puppy needs as well as handling, confidence building and some fun tricks. It's not all just about training. I also want to help you to understand your pups so each week there will be some information on body language, socialisation and other common puppy struggles. The aim is to build everyone's confidence and make puppy raising fun and supportive. Each puppy will get a little welcome kit on there first class with a progress chart for you to use at home and chew for puppy. I will also keep track of their progress during classes, so your puppy can work towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates.
Classes are open to all families we are a safe and inclusive space. My aim is to make training a fun experience which supports you in building a strong bond with your pup, teach them valuable skills to make your life easier and create a supportive community. I do not use any methods or tools in my training that cause, discomfort, stress, fear or pain.
Puppies need to be fully vaccinated and proof will need to be provided, Please come with plenty of treats and have puppy on a short lead and harness for class. Please make sure puppy has had a decent chance to toilet before class. Accidents are expected so please don't panic but we would like to avoid them where possible.
I will have some treats and chews available for purchase at each class. This can be done with either bank transfer or a payment link, I don't keep change on me.
Booking ahead is essential as classes are kept small. Class starts at 9.30 am Sunday morning at Claverham village hall.
